‘Chad Powers’ College Football Comedy From Glen Powell & Michael Waldron Scores Season 2 At Hulu

Hold on to your helmets, folks! Chad Powers is back for another season of gridiron glory (and likely, some hilarious mishaps). Hulu just announced they're renewing the Glen Powell-led comedy series, *Chad Powers*, for a second season. And honestly? I couldn't be happier. Season one was a touchdown, plain and simple.

‘Chad Powers’ College Football Comedy From Glen Po...

For those living under a rock, *Chad Powers* is based on that absolutely legendary "Eli's Places" segment from ESPN, where Eli Manning went undercover with prosthetics to try out for Penn State as a walk-on. The premise was gold, and Powell, alongside *Loki* writer Michael Waldron, ran with it.

Powell stars as Russ Holliday, a once-promising Oregon quarterback whose career went sideways. Now, eight years later, he's looking for a second chance. His solution? Transform into Chad Powers, a walk-on with *questionable* football skills, for the struggling South Georgia Catfish. It's a recipe for comedy, and it delivers in spades.

Season one had it all: underdog stories, secret identities, and the sheer absurdity of watching Glen Powell, a certified heartthrob, rocking a truly magnificent set of prosthetics. The supporting cast, including Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, and the always-amazing Steve Zahn, really elevated the show as well. They created a world that was both believable and utterly ridiculous, which is a tough line to walk, let me tell you.

And that cliffhanger ending! Chad (or rather, Russ) and the Catfish were on the verge of a potentially game-changing victory against the Georgia Bulldogs. Meanwhile, his whole charade was about to be exposed. It was nail-biting stuff, even amidst all the laughter.

Now, about season two... I’m dying to see how they resolve that ending. Will Russ’s true identity be revealed? Can the Catfish actually pull off the upset? And, perhaps most importantly, will Chad Powers continue to deliver those hilariously awkward post-game interviews? I'm also hoping for even more of that small-town Southern charm that the first season captured so well. Seriously, the atmosphere was perfect.

The first season, thankfully, is available to stream on both Disney+ and Hulu, so you have plenty of time to catch up before season two drops. Do yourself a favor and give it a watch. You won’t regret it. With Powell, Waldron, and the Manning brothers all involved as executive producers, it’s clear this show has a winning team behind it. Get ready for more Chad Powers – he's just getting started, and I’m here for it.
