Mercedes-Benz Shake-Up! Who's In, Who's Out? You Won't Believe It!
Automotive 30 December 2025

Mercedes-Benz Türk is shaking things up as we head into 2026, announcing a series of key leadership appointments that signal a renewed focus on customer engagement and sustainable growth. Effective January 1st, the company is implementing organizational changes affecting its Truck Fleet Sales, Truck Product Management, and Communications divisions. It’s all part of a larger strategy to refine its corporate structure, according to the official announcement. These kinds of moves aren't unusual in big companies, but it's always interesting to see who's moving where and what it might mean for the future.

Mercedes-Benz Shake-Up! Who's In, Who's Out? You W...

First up, Çağdaş Özen will be taking the reins as Group Manager of Truck Fleet Sales. A Boğaziçi University Mechanical Engineering grad, Özen is a Mercedes-Benz Türk veteran, having started back in 2010 in After-Sales Services. He's held various roles within the company, including Truck Fleet Sales Coordinator and Executive Board President Assistant, before becoming Group Manager of Truck Product Management in 2019. This looks like a strategic move to leverage his product knowledge directly into sales.

Stepping into Özen's former shoes is Serra Yeşilyurt, who will become the Group Manager of Truck Product Management. Yeşilyurt boasts a strong academic background with an Industrial Engineering degree from Middle East Technical University and postgraduate studies in both Germany and France. She joined Mercedes-Benz Türk in 2014 as a Strategy Specialist, eventually becoming Group Manager of Marketing Communications and Customer Relations in 2018. Her diverse experience will undoubtedly be valuable in shaping the future of Mercedes-Benz Türk's truck product portfolio. I've always found that a wide range of experiences makes for the best leadership.

Finally, Miray Demirel is set to become the Communications Manager for Mercedes-Benz Türk. In a move to streamline communications, the company is consolidating Corporate Communications, Marketing Communications, and Customer Relations activities under a single Communications Department. Demirel, an Industrial Engineering graduate from Sabancı University, has been with the company since 2010, holding various positions before becoming Corporate Communications Manager in 2020. This consolidation seems like a smart way to ensure a consistent message and a unified brand image across all channels.

Mercedes-Benz Türk emphasized its commitment to internal rotations, framing these changes as a way to strengthen its customer-centric approach and support its sustainable growth targets. The company has been a significant player in the Turkish heavy commercial vehicle industry since 1967 and, as of December 1, 2021, operates under "Daimler Truck AG" as a separate legal entity, responsible for Truck and Bus groups. With these new appointments, Mercedes-Benz Türk is clearly positioning itself for continued success in a rapidly evolving market. Only time will tell how these changes impact their bottom line, but the company seems optimistic.
