Critics Choice Awards: Don't Miss Tonight's Biggest TV Moments!
Movies & TV Series 03 January 2026

Alright, folks, awards season is officially kicking off! Get ready for the 31st annual Critics Choice Awards this Sunday, January 4th. It's the first big competitive awards show of 2026, and you know everyone will be watching to see who comes out on top. Chelsea Handler is back as host, so expect some laughs (and probably a few slightly uncomfortable moments, let's be honest) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

Critics Choice Awards: Don't Miss Tonight's Bigges...

The ceremony itself is a three-hour affair, airing live on both E! and USA Network. Coverage kicks off at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, so set your DVRs or clear your schedules. We'll be glued to our screens, that's for sure.

Now, let's talk nominees. This year's Best Picture category is looking pretty stacked. We've got *Bugonia* from Focus Features, *Frankenstein* (Netflix), *Hamnet* (also Focus Features), *Jay Kelly* (Netflix), *Marty Supreme* (A24 – you know that's going to be interesting), *Sentimental Value* (Neon), *Train Dreams* (Netflix again!), and, of course, the big one: *Wicked: For Good* (Universal). Honestly, it feels like a real mixed bag this year, which makes predicting a winner even harder. I'm personally rooting for *Marty Supreme*, just based on A24's track record alone. But *Wicked: For Good* has that built-in fanbase, so who knows?

On the television side, Netflix is dominating as well. Their Emmy-winning series *Adolescence* leads the pack with a whopping six nominations, followed closely by *Nobody Wants This* with five. Looks like we'll be seeing a lot of familiar faces in the audience.

Of course, no awards show is complete without the red carpet. *LIVE from E!: Critics Choice Awards* will be bringing you all the fashion and awkward celebrity interviews starting at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT, also on E! and USA Network. Justin Sylvester and Keltie Knight are back as hosts, joined by Will Marfuggi and Erin Lim. Get ready for the fashion police to be out in full force.

Speaking of familiar faces, the guest list is seriously star-studded. We're talking Ali Larter, Alicia Silverstone, Allison Janney, Ava DuVernay, Billy Bob Thornton... the list goes on and on! You can find the full list above. It's going to be a crowded room, that's for certain.

And for those of you who prefer to stream, don't worry, you can catch the Critics Choice Awards online this year. Check your streaming services' program guides and social media on Sunday for viewing information. Happy watching!
