Santa Monica shimmered last night, not just under the California stars, but under the collective sparkle of the 31st Annual Critics Choice Awards. Chelsea Handler steered the ship, and from what I hear, did a fantastic job – though, admittedly, I was glued to the red carpet. The 2026 award season is officially OFFICIALLY kicked off, people!
Critics Choice Awards: Who Wore What?! The Best (a...
The night was brimming with moments, both poignant and playful. Word on the street is Handler delivered a beautiful tribute to the late Rob and Michele Reiner. And Timothee Chalamet! Seems he snagged Best Actor for "Marty Supreme" – haven't seen it yet, but it's definitely on my list. And apparently, he gave a shout-out to Kylie Jenner during his speech? Love is in the air, folks!
But let's be real, we're here for the fashion. And honey, did it deliver. Teyana Taylor shut. it. DOWN. Seriously, that olive green Saint Laurent suit, paired with a black fur scarf? A power move, pure and simple. She commanded attention, and rightfully so. Alicia Silverstone? Still looking like she stepped out of 1995, but in the best way possible. That Stella McCartney ensemble was working overtime to keep her looking ageless. We need her skincare routine, stat!
The men brought their A-game too. Michael B. Jordan, bless his heart, looked dashing in a Bordeaux Louis Vuitton double-breasted suit. It had a retro vibe that really suited him (pun intended!). Plus, he brought his mom, Donna Jordan, as his date – points for that! Jacob Elordi, winning Best Supporting Actor for "Frankenstein" (another one for the watchlist!), was the picture of timeless cool in a black-on-black Bottega Veneta suit. Sharp, clean lines – you can't go wrong with that.
Other standouts included Sheryl Lee Ralph in a Tony Ward Couture gown that was breathtaking, Chase Infiniti, and Quinta Brunson looking radiant in Chloe. And let's not forget Elle Fanning, who practically glowed in a gold Ralph Lauren dress. It was a night of bold choices and classic elegance, proving that the Critics Choice Awards knows how to bring the glamour. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some movies to add to my viewing list... and maybe a Saint Laurent suit to start saving up for.
