Well, folks, if you thought the summer Box office was cooling down, think again! Pandora is still blazing. James Cameron's "Avatar: Fire and Ash" is continuing its impressive theatrical run, now sitting pretty at a whopping $1.231 billion worldwide after just four weekends. That's some serious Na'vi power, right there.

Of course, it's not the only animated animal in town. "Zootopia 2" is still raking it in, too. After six weekends, it's amassed a staggering $1.655 billion globally. That's enough lettuce to feed every bunny in Zootopia... twice!
But Disney, being the savvy media behemoth they are, aren't just resting on their laurels. They're actively fueling the "Fire and Ash" frenzy. How, you ask? By dangling the carrot of exclusive "Avengers: Doomsday" teaser trailers in front of moviegoers. I have to admit, it's a pretty brilliant move. Four teasers have dropped so far, each getting a week of theatrical exclusivity before hitting the web. It's incentivizing repeat viewings, and it seems to be working like a charm. I actually know several people who've seen "Avatar" multiple times just to catch the latest glimpse of the Avengers in action.
Beyond the blockbuster giants, some smaller films are also making a splash. "The Housemaid," starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, is steadily creeping towards the $200 million global mark. And you know what? It deserves it. The word-of-mouth has been incredibly positive, and the film's holding strong week after week. Apparently, the buzz is so strong that a sequel has already been greenlit. Good for them!
Then there's "Anaconda," starring Jack Black and Paul Rudd. It's slithered its way to a respectable $110.1 million worldwide. I mean, honestly, who wouldn't want to see those two comedic powerhouses battling a giant snake? It sounds like a fun summer flick, and audiences seem to agree.
And last but not least, "Marty Supreme," starring Timothée Chalamet, has grossed $84.1 million globally. It's not setting any records, but it's a solid performance, especially considering the competition. Overall, it's been a pretty exciting summer at the movies, and it's showing no signs of slowing down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to buy a giant bucket of popcorn!
