Peugeot's Turkish Delight: Snags Third Place Globally in Sales for 2025!
Peugeot SHOCKER: Turkey's #3?! What's Driving This...
Peugeot Turkey is riding high, folks! The company recently released its 2025 performance report, and it's nothing short of stellar. Turns out, Turkey has become an incredibly important market for the French automaker, so much so that it now ranks as the *third* largest country in the world for Peugeot sales. That's a huge jump from fifth place just a year prior. Not bad, eh?
The brand, known for its stylish designs and what they describe as a blend of "driving pleasure with advanced technology," capped off 2024 with record sales, and that momentum clearly carried over. They didn't just coast; they built upon it, achieving a new sales milestone in 2025. I remember seeing more Peugeots on the roads here myself, especially the 3008, so this news isn't entirely surprising.
With a completely revamped product lineup – a strategy that seems to be paying off handsomely – Peugeot has established itself as one of the most dynamic brands in the Turkish automotive market. They managed to sell a whopping 86,459 vehicles, securing a 6.3% market share overall. What's really interesting is their performance in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sector. They shifted 26,661 LCVs, capturing a 9.4% share and landing them in fourth place in that specific segment. That's a critical market here, with a lot of small businesses relying on dependable commercial vehicles.
Gupse Kaplan, the Brand Director for Peugeot Turkey, seems pretty chuffed with the results. "I previously stated that 2025 would be a 'performance mode' year for our brand," she said, emphasizing the strategic importance of the year. "Indeed, 2025 has been a year where we have demonstrated our performance most effectively... showcasing our full strength in every area and underscoring that our success is not accidental but sustainable." Well said, Ms. Kaplan! You can tell she's proud of the team and the hard work they've put in.
Kaplan also pointed out that this record sales figure has catapulted Turkey into a top-tier position within the entire Peugeot global network. “As Turkey, we finished the year as the third-largest country in terms of Peugeot sales," she proudly stated. "We are now on the podium of the Peugeot world's top three markets… Finishing the year in third place after France and the UK makes us very happy and motivated." And it’s not just passenger cars. Turkey is also second worldwide in light commercial vehicle sales for Peugeot! According to Kaplan, this is strongly supported by local production, which will only continue to boost their commercial success.
Furthermore, Peugeot seems to be dominating the SUV market with the new 3008 and 5008 models. Kaplan noted that they are the second-largest brand in the total SUV market, ending the year with 58,377 SUV sales and an 8.7% market share. It's safe to say that Peugeot has definitely found its footing in Turkey. The future looks bright for the French automaker in this vibrant and growing market.
