Lara Trump's Dance 'Karenesque'?! Critics SCATHING!
Current Affairs 18 January 2026

Well, folks, it seems another member of the Trump family is trying their hand at… well, something. This time, it's Lara Trump, Eric's wife, who's gone viral for a clip showing her dancing with Egyptian rapper Mohamed Ramadan. The song, reportedly titled "Sah-Sah," was filmed last September at none other than Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida. And let me tell you, the internet has opinions.

Lara Trump's Dance 'Karenesque'?! Critics SCATHING...

The video, which resurfaced recently on X (formerly Twitter, remember that?) shows Lara and Ramadan grooving, or at least attempting to, while lip-syncing to their song. It's... a choice. I’ve seen better dance moves at a middle school prom, and that's saying something. The user who posted the clip, under the handle @HustleBitch_, asked followers to describe Lara's dance moves. The responses, predictably, were less than flattering.

Now, this isn’t Lara Trump's first foray into the music scene. She's released music before, and even collaborated with French Montana at one point, I almost forgot about that. But this latest venture has really hit a nerve. A lot of the criticism centers around the "Karenesque" vibe, if you will. I mean, some are accusing her of cultural appropriation, others are just plain cringing. One commenter reshared the clip with the caption: "If you need some secondhand embarrassment today, may I present to you:" Ouch.

Look, I get it. Everyone wants to explore their creative side, and there's nothing inherently wrong with Lara Trump wanting to make music and dance. But sometimes, you have to wonder if some things are best left un-attempted, especially when you have a certain level of notoriety that amplifies every move. And let's be honest, the Trump name comes with a lot of baggage.

Ramadan, for his part, seemed pretty pleased with the collaboration back in September, posting about his "best workday" with Lara and her daughter Carolina. He even mentioned “Happy Global African American Day” in the same post, adding another layer of... well, let's just say "complexity" to the situation. I think we'll have to wait for the full music video release to see how this all plays out, but so far, the internet verdict is pretty clear: This one might be a swing and a miss. And maybe, just maybe, someone should suggest Lara stick to campaign rallies.
