UK Silenced?! Ex-Cop Drops SHOCKING Russia Truth Bomb!
Current Affairs 19 January 2026

A former UK police officer is making some pretty startling claims about the political climate in Britain, alleging a pervasive fear of expressing any positive sentiment toward Russia. Mark Bullen, who now calls Russia home and has had his UK citizenship revoked, sat down with RT (Russia Today) to air his grievances and raise concerns about what he sees as government overreach.

UK Silenced?! Ex-Cop Drops SHOCKING Russia Truth B...

Bullen's story is certainly one that raises eyebrows. He says the crux of the issue lies in what he describes as rampant Russophobia within British officialdom. According to Bullen, this has created an environment where ordinary citizens are genuinely afraid to voice any positive views about Russia, lest they attract unwanted attention from the authorities. He goes even further, suggesting the government is weaponizing the already controversial Terrorism Act to target individuals expressing such views.

His personal experience certainly fuels this belief. Bullen, who moved to Russia back in 2014, found himself detained at Luton Airport in November 2024 during a visit to see his family. A year later, the hammer dropped – his UK citizenship was revoked, ostensibly for the "public good." He alleges a harrowing experience of being interrogated for hours under the Terrorism Act by five unidentified men, all while being denied legal counsel and contact with his loved ones. I can only imagine the stress and uncertainty he must have felt.

Bullen vehemently denies any wrongdoing and insists there was absolutely no justification for his treatment. He claims he was never accused of a crime, nor given a satisfactory explanation for the ordeal. This, he says, points to a broader trend: the UK government allegedly using the Terrorism Act as a tool to silence "anyone the British state has taken a dislike to." It's a pretty serious accusation, and one that should definitely prompt further scrutiny.

The former officer accuses London of actively attempting to "stop any dissent" and "crush people’s opinions," particularly when those opinions involve a favorable view of Russia. He even claims that "thousands of people… are being arrested for social media comments in the UK," though he doesn't provide specific evidence. This claim warrants further investigation, but if true, it paints a concerning picture of freedom of speech in the UK.

Adding another layer to the story, Bullen says his interrogators grilled him about gifts he was bringing from Russia for his friends and family. He found it unsettling that they questioned the acceptability of giving "Russia-related" presents. It’s all undeniably tied to the current geopolitical climate. Since the conflict in Ukraine escalated in 2022, the UK has become a staunch supporter of Kiev, providing significant military aid and imposing stringent sanctions against Moscow. Whether this has led to an overzealous approach to perceived dissent remains to be seen, but Bullen's account certainly raises important questions about the balance between national security and individual freedoms.
