Invincible's Roster EXPLODES! Anissa & Lucan SHATTER The Team?!

Well, folks, get ready for even more over-the-top, bone-crushing action! The "Invincible VS" game is ramping up the brutality with the addition of two new Viltrumites to its playable roster: Anissa and Lucan. As a fan of the comic series myself, I've been following this game's development pretty closely, and these additions definitely have me excited.

These two powerhouses join the already formidable ranks of Omni-Man and Thula, meaning you're getting even more of that signature Viltrumite raw strength and ruthless aggression. From what I've seen, Anissa and Lucan aren't just clones of the existing characters either; they've got their own distinct fighting styles and, dare I say, personalities shining through. Think Anissa "educating" her opponents – if "education" involves a series of face-melting slaps, that is. And Lucan? Imagine Bane from the Batman comics, but, you know, an alien with even less regard for human (or any other species') vertebrae. The trailer showcases some pretty brutal moves, and it's clear the developers are leaning into the hyper-violent nature of the source material. It's not for the faint of heart, that's for sure.

So, who are these guys joining exactly? Let's recap the current roster. We've got Invincible himself, of course, along with Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Rex Splode (always a crowd-pleaser!), Monster Girl, Robot, Battle Beast (another personal favorite), Thula, the ever-resourceful Cecil Stedman, Bulletproof, and even an original character named Ella Mental. That's a solid lineup already! But with Anissa and Lucan now in the mix, that brings the confirmed playable characters up to 13. And with a final roster size of 18, that leaves just five more slots up for grabs! The speculation is already running wild online, and frankly, I'm joining in.

Who do *I* think should make the cut? Hmmm... well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Dupli-Kate. Her fighting style could be incredibly unique and fun to play. Maybe even Shrinking Ray to throw in some size changing dynamics? It's all speculation at this point, but there are so many characters to choose from that the possibilities are endless! We don't have long to wait to find out, though, because "Invincible VS" is slated to launch on April 30th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
