Gastronomy and goodwill are set to collide once again at ChefsForChildren 2026, a genuinely special charitable event that brings together culinary giants for an incredibly worthy cause. It's the kind of story that just makes you feel good.

Michelin Chefs Reveal Kids' SHOCKING Food Secret! ...

Now in its eighth year, this initiative is scheduled for April 20th at the oh-so-luxurious Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavis Marbella Resort, down in Benahavís, Malaga province. I’ve driven through that area – stunning! The day itself will be packed, featuring interactive cooking workshops for children, a gastronomic forum, and the main event: a gala charity dinner, all benefiting the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER).

Francisco Salado, the president of the Malaga Provincial Council, officially unveiled the event at the Sabor de Malaga stand during the H&T tourism fair. He quite rightly called it “a project that unites talent, professionalism, gastronomy, health, solidarity, and commitment to childhood.” It's a mouthful, but perfectly sums up the spirit of the event.

Salado made a point of expressing his gratitude for the involvement of such an elite group of professionals. Malaga, he noted, is lucky to be home to so many Michelin-starred chefs and restaurants. And I have to agree! "Whenever possible, they demonstrate their talent and charity," he said. Which is heartwarming, to say the least.

The Diputación, through its support via the Sabor a Malaga brand, is directly contributing to FEDER’s work in research, raising awareness, and generally supporting people living with rare diseases. A fantastic initiative. At the same time, the program gives local Malagueña products a starring role, showcasing their high quality, sustainability, and, of course, their deliciousness. It's a win-win.

Operating under the charming motto “Comer sano es divertido” – “Eating healthy is fun” – ChefsForChildren is really doubling down on its commitment to children’s nutritional education, and crucially, on providing support to those with rare conditions. It’s not just about a fancy dinner; it’s about making a real difference.

The roster of renowned Spanish chefs lending their support is incredible. We're talking names like Toño Pérez, Benito Gómez, Mario Cachinero, José Carlos García, Dani Carnero, Diego Gallegos, Mauricio Giovanini, Israel Ramos, and Andrea Tumbarello, to name just a few. That’s a serious concentration of culinary talent.

This year’s collaboration with FEDER, a nonprofit that represents over 400 associations across Spain, is laser-focused on improving the quality of life for people with rare diseases and their families. The organization champions research, inclusion, access to treatments, and overall solidarity to build a more equitable society. It's a mission we can all get behind.

And before the main event even kicks off, two special cooking workshops for children with rare diseases are planned: the first on February 9th at Le Cordon Bleu in Madrid, and the second on March 16th at Bodegas Emilio Moro in Valladolid. Talk about starting early and building excitement! It's an all-around commendable effort. *By Adam Woodward*
