Dubai and Sharjah are bracing for a bit of a soggy start to the weekend, folks. Forecasters are predicting light Rain and cloudy skies, particularly during those early morning hours when we're all just trying to get our caffeine fix and head to work. Temperatures are expected to hold steady around a comfortable 24°C (that's about 75°F for our American readers), but authorities are already issuing advisories, so it's worth paying attention.
Dubai & Sharjah Weather Alert! Will You Be Ready F...
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) is the source of this meteorological heads-up, forecasting light rainfall for Friday, February 6, 2026. Apparently, we're dealing with an unstable weather system, driven by those ever-shifting pressure zones and increasing cloud cover. It’s all part of the game as we transition into cooler weather and fluctuating temperatures, I guess. These winter months can be a mixed bag, that's for sure. The northern and eastern parts of the UAE are expected to get the brunt of the Rain, though.
So what can Dubai residents expect? Well, daytime should be fair to partly cloudy, with a high of around 26°C. Not bad at all, really. Evenings will cool down to about 17–18°C, which is perfect sweater weather, if you ask me. Now, the real kicker is the humidity. As night falls, it's going to creep up, especially near the coast and islands. That means a good chance of fog or mist, which could make the morning commute a bit dicey. I always tell my family, always check the weather before driving anywhere!
The winds will be light to moderate, coming mostly from the southeast to northeast, at around 10–20 km/hr. We might see the occasional gust up to 30 km/hr, which could kick up some moisture and keep things feeling breezy. But again, nothing too dramatic, it sounds like.
Satellite images from the NCM show the highest chance of consistent rainfall in Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman. However, the mountainous regions of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah are likely to see heavier showers. Seems like those mountains are good at squeezing out the rain from the clouds. Down here in Dubai, we're probably looking at intermittent rain – quick bursts followed by lulls. Abu Dhabi, on the other hand, will mostly be cloudy with a smaller chance of rain.
The big takeaway here is visibility. With the increased humidity and cooler night temperatures, the NCM is warning about fog or mist formation, especially in coastal and low-lying areas. So, if you're hitting the road early, be extra cautious, slow down, and use your fog lights. Stay safe out there!
