Get ready to rumble with the undead! Portal de la Marina shopping center in Ondara is gearing up for its second annual "Survival Zombie" event, transforming the retail haven into a thrilling, post-apocalyptic playground on Saturday, February 28th. Forget window shopping, folks; this is about survival shopping.

Survival Zombie II Transforms Portal de la Marina!...

Imagine this: a six-hour, immersive escape room experience where your mission is simple: don't become zombie chow. Players will navigate the familiar corridors of the shopping center, now transformed into a terrifying landscape teeming with the undead. Think riddles, adrenaline-pumping challenges, and a whole lot of running. Professional actors will be on hand to make sure your heart rate stays elevated. I've been to a few of these types of events before, and let me tell you, the commitment from the actors is usually pretty astounding. They really get into it!

Each "Survival Zombie" edition boasts a unique storyline, so even if you participated last year, you're in for a fresh dose of terror. Participants are tasked with completing missions within a realistic zombie apocalypse environment, demanding teamwork, strategy, and sheer endurance. Forget leisurely Saturday browsing; this is about banding together to survive the night.

The event is open to a wide range of ages, with a recommended minimum age of six. Youngsters under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, of course. Participants aged 13 and older can brave the apocalypse independently, provided they have parental consent secured during ticket purchase. It's a clever way to get the whole family involved – or at least scar them for life, depending on your perspective! Either way, it's a bonding experience.

Now, for the good stuff: discounts! Members of Portal de la Marina’s "Club de los Disfrutones" (which translates roughly to "Club of Enjoyers" – I love that!) can snag discounted tickets for €29.90, a sweet reduction from the standard €39.90 price tag. Registration is available directly through the News section of the Portal de la Marina app. Time to download it and get ready to run for your life!

Portal de la Marina, which operates under the welcoming banner of "Welcome Family," is the largest retail and leisure destination in the Marina Alta region. Since its inauguration in 2008, it’s been a hub for shopping and entertainment, boasting over 40,000 square meters of retail space. With over 100 shops and a diverse selection of restaurants, including familiar names like Zara, IKEA, and Carrefour, it’s usually a pretty bustling place. This weekend, however, it'll be bustling with a different kind of energy: the frantic energy of survival.

HLRE Socimi, the company managing Portal de la Marina, seems committed to providing innovative and engaging experiences for its customers. This "Survival Zombie" event certainly fits the bill. Who knows, maybe dodging zombies will become the new Saturday afternoon pastime?
