PlayStation's State of Play Unveils Slew of Upcoming Titles

PlayStation State of Play: SHOCKING Reveals! What ...

A brand new State of Play broadcast just wrapped up, showcasing a hefty lineup of upcoming titles destined for the PlayStation 5. And as always, we're here to break down all the major announcements in one easily digestible place, so you don't miss a single beat. Consider this your one-stop shop for all things State of Play – we'll be updating it live throughout the day with trailers, details, and our initial impressions.

PlayStation fans around the globe were practically vibrating with anticipation for this latest peek into the future of gaming on the PS5. The presentation, clocking in at a robust hour-plus, promised a compelling mix of "eye-catching third-party and indie games" alongside some long-awaited updates from the powerhouse that is PlayStation Studios. It's always a gamble whether these things live up to the hype, but frankly, this one delivered in spades.

Kicking things off with a bang was *Kena: Scars of Kosmora*, the highly anticipated sequel to 2021's surprise hit, *Kena: Bridge of Spirits*. Developer Ember Lab certainly knows how to craft a visually stunning experience, because the new story looks absolutely gorgeous. This time around, Kena, now a seasoned Spirit Guide, journeys to the mysterious island of Kosmora, seeking a cure for a newly acquired affliction and hoping to "reconnect with a friend from her past." But, as these things tend to go, she quickly finds herself embroiled in a new crisis – a corruption that fractures her staff, forcing her to learn Kosmora's forgotten and decidedly *dangerous* style of Spirit Guiding, which, interestingly, involves manipulating the elements. Oh, and don't worry, you can still expect to encounter plenty of those ridiculously adorable spirit companions. They're a big part of the charm, after all!

Next up, *Ghost of Yotei Legends* has been officially slated for release on March 10, 2026. This promises some monster-hunting action, letting up to four players team up to tackle monstrous, supernatural enemies across multiple game modes. The best part? It’ll be available completely free for all players in patch 1.5. Free content is always welcome, and the gameplay looked surprisingly polished. Definitely one to watch.

The latest, and frankly quite unsettling, gameplay trailer for *Resident Evil: Requiem* revealed that Leon is, regrettably, once again infected with… something nasty. And Sherry, another familiar face from the franchise, will be joining the horrifying festivities when *Requiem* launches on February 27, 2026. The trailer leaned hard into the body horror, and I'm not going to lie, it looked intensely disturbing. In a good way, of course, if you're into that sort of thing.

Good news for PC gamers! *Death Stranding 2: On the Beach* is officially making its way to PC on March 19, 2026. As expected, the PC version will feature unlocked framerates, ultra widescreen support, full DualSense Controller support, upscaling and frame generation, and all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a modern PC port.

Finally, *Dead or Alive 6 Last Round* is set to punch its way onto the PS5 on June 25, 2026. This is being billed as the "definitive version" of the fighting game that originally launched in 2019. *Dead or Alive 6 Last Round* will be available in both a standard edition and a free-to-play version, giving players options on how they want to experience the game.
