Final Fantasy Fans, Relax! Part 3 News Just Dropped – You Won't Believe This!
Gaming News 16 February 2026

Okay, folks, deep breath for all you Final Fantasy VII fans. The ever-anticipated Part 3 of the Remake series is on the horizon, and there's been a lot of chatter about how the game might handle a multiplatform release. Director Naoki Hamaguchi recently addressed those concerns, and the news is, well, reassuring, to say the least.

Final Fantasy Fans, Relax! Part 3 News Just Droppe...

Speaking with Automaton (via Eurogamer), Hamaguchi-san laid out pretty clearly that expanding the game to platforms like the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox *won't* mean a dip in quality. This is a huge relief, right? We've all seen games that try to be everything to everyone and end up sacrificing polish in the process. But Hamaguchi seems confident that they can handle the wider reach. He even pointed to the positive feedback the previous games got on these platforms as a motivating factor. Makes sense.

Interestingly, he also emphasized the growing importance of PC gaming, stating that Part 3 has been built with PC "as the foundation." I'm guessing that means we can expect some seriously stunning visuals and maybe even more customization options on the PC version. As a PC gamer myself, I'm definitely hoping for some sweet modding potential!

And speaking of progress, Hamaguchi teased last month that the "core game experience is almost complete." It sounds like they're really focusing on the nitty-gritty details now – you know, the refining and polishing that can really make a game sing. That's exactly what you want to hear at this stage in development. They're not just throwing it together; they're sweating the small stuff. Good stuff.

But wait, there's more! Remember Queen's Blood from *Rebirth*? The card game that became an obsession for so many of us? Well, get ready for a "powered-up" return in Part 3! Hamaguchi plans to "expand" upon the Rebirth iteration, and honestly, I'm already bracing myself for countless hours lost to building the ultimate deck. I may or may not have already started theory-crafting new strategies... Don't judge!

Finally, this little tidbit is just too good not to share. The development team apparently considered resizing Cloud's iconic Buster Sword for realism. I mean, can you imagine? But thankfully, sanity prevailed. They ultimately decided against it, deeming it "just too iconic" to alter. And they are 100% correct. Some things are sacred, and Cloud's oversized sword is definitely one of them. So, rest easy, folks. Part 3 sounds like it's in good hands, and we can all look forward to seeing what Square Enix delivers. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some Queen's Blood decks to build…
