'Breakers' Cast SHOCK! What This Means For Antony Starr?!

Netflix's upcoming series "Breakers," previously known as "Red Bluff," is shaping up to be quite the production, and they've just finalized a key piece of the puzzle: the cast. Joining the already announced Antony Starr, who's not only starring but also executive producing, are some fresh and familiar faces. We're talking Emmy-nominated D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai of "Reservation Dogs" fame, the talented Annabel Wolfe from "Surviving Summer," and the up-and-coming Oliver Edis, known for "Gnomes." All three will be series regulars, adding to the already impressive roster.

'Breakers' Cast SHOCK! What This Means For Antony ...

The series itself is the brainchild of Pete Jackson, the writer and executive producer behind acclaimed shows like "Somewhere Boy" and "The Death of Bunny Munro." He's working in collaboration with Clerkenwell Films, the production company responsible for hits like "Baby Reindeer" and "The End Of The F***ing World," so you know the creative talent is definitely there. If their prior works are any indication, "Breakers" is poised to be something special, and definitely something worth keeping an eye on.

Right now, the cameras are rolling in beautiful Western Australia. Production kicked off not too long ago and is expected to wrap up around June 2026. That's a fairly long shoot, hinting at the scale and ambition of this project. As for the roles these new additions are playing, Woon-A-Tai will be taking on the character of Elliot, Edis steps into the shoes of Flynn, and Wolfe will portray Harper. They'll be sharing the screen with Antony Starr, who's playing a character named Brando. I'm personally curious to see Starr in a role outside of Homelander, he's such a talented actor.

And that's not all, the supporting cast is also packed with noteworthy names. Asher Yasbincek (Maggie from "Heartbreak High"), David Howell (Iggy from "Run, The Narrow Road To The Deep North"), Tyroe Muhafidin (Danno from "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power"), Tom Dawson (Don from "Tenzing"), Sherry-Lee Watson (Astrid, also from "Heartbreak High"), Lu Miller (Amara from "Nansie"), Eliza Learmonth (Clementine from "Baby Shower"), and Brodie Townsend (Kurt, rounding out the "Heartbreak High" contingent) are all on board. It sounds like they really pulled together some amazing talents.

Interestingly, "Breakers" is making a little bit of history. It's the very first Netflix series to be filmed in Western Australia, which is fantastic news for the local film industry. The production is being supported by Screenwest and the WA Government through the Western Australian Production Attraction Incentive, proving that investing in local talent can lead to some pretty exciting opportunities.

For those interested in the behind-the-scenes representation, Edis is being looked after by Morrissey Management and Brave Artists Management. Wolfe, on the other hand, is represented by RGM Artists and Echo Lake Entertainment. With production well underway, it will be exciting to see what kind of sneak peaks we can get in the coming months. Given the talent involved, "Breakers" has the potential to be a real hit, and I, for one, am eager to see how it all comes together.
