Goggins & Moretz Team Up! Is This the Next John Wick?!
Movies & TV Series 17 February 2026

Hold on to your hats, folks, because this news just dropped and it's a doozy. Walton Goggins, that guy who steals every scene he's in (seriously, remember him in "The White Lotus"? Emmy-worthy!), is teaming up with Chloë Grace Moretz for a new action-comedy called "Mister." And if that wasn't enough to pique your interest, get this: it's coming from Thunder Road, the production company behind the "John Wick" franchise. So, yeah, expect some serious butt-kicking and hopefully, a healthy dose of witty banter.

Goggins & Moretz Team Up! Is This the Next John Wi...

The movie, according to reports, will be directed by Wade Eastwood, a seasoned stunt and action director making his directorial debut. This guy knows action, having worked on "Mission: Impossible" and "Jumanji" flicks. Josh Brolin was initially attached to star, but scheduling conflicts, the bane of every actor's existence, forced him to bow out. Goggins stepped in, and honestly? I think it's a perfect fit. He's got that unpredictable energy that's just tailor-made for action-comedy.

Word on the street is that filming kicks off next month in Madrid. Imagine, sunshine, tapas, and exploding cars! Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee of Thunder Road, along with Goggins himself, are producing. Nicki Cortese, who co-wrote the script, is also on board as a producer. The whole thing is being financed by Bright White Light, so they clearly believe in this project. You've got to respect the confidence.

The behind-the-scenes talent is impressive too. We're talking cinematographer Henry Braham ("Superman") and production designer Nigel Phelps ("Thor: Love And Thunder"). These are the guys who create the visual world of a movie, and with their experience, "Mister" is sure to look fantastic. Honestly, the production team alone has me excited. Goggins is also juggling this with the third season of Amazon's "Fallout," so he's going to be a busy man.

Producer Basil Iwanyk is already singing praises, saying, "Walton and Chloë are the perfect pairing to capture Mister’s heart and humor — while delivering some of the most ambitious and wildly entertaining action sequences audiences will see on screen this year.” Director Eastwood echoed that sentiment, calling Goggins "electric" and Moretz a mix of "strength, vulnerability and razor-sharp timing." Sounds like they’ve got a good dynamic brewing. Look, Hollywood's a crapshoot, but with this team and premise, "Mister" has the potential to be something really special. I’ll be keeping a close eye on this one.
