Alec Shankman's HeartRock Partners, the shiny new management and entertainment firm making waves since its launch last month, has just unveiled its first round of hires. And honestly? They look pretty impressive.
HeartRock's Bold Move: Will These Hires Save Alec ...
The company, spearheaded by the former Gersh alternative head himself, is clearly serious about building a powerhouse. HeartRock announced the recruitment of four individuals, all aimed at strengthening their talent and brand representation divisions. It's a bold move, signaling some serious growth aspirations.
Leading the charge is Cole Childres, now a Talent and Brand Strategist for HeartRock. He's packing his bags and trading the sunny skies of Los Angeles for Cleveland after spending the last two and a half years at WME Group’s Talent Ventures. That's a significant move, suggesting HeartRock has something pretty compelling to offer. Cleveland, huh? Shows they're not just focused on the usual industry hubs.
Next up is Olivia Zoratto, appointed as a Talent Strategist. She's bringing a hefty seven years of experience from Innovative Artists, where she was most recently a talent agent specializing in the unscripted world and hosting gigs. Lucky for her, she gets to stay put in Los Angeles. Seems like a solid addition for anyone looking to make waves in the non-scripted space.
Then there's Caroline Welker, also a Talent and Brand Strategist. This one's interesting because it's a reunion of sorts. Welker's worked with Shankman before at both Abrams/A3 and Gersh. Loyalty counts for a lot in this business, and it's always good to see people you trust come aboard. She'll be based in Los Angeles, leveraging her experience representing unscripted talent, digital creators, executive producers, directors, and production companies. She left Gersh back in December, so I imagine she's ready to hit the ground running.
HeartRock is officially headquartered in Cleveland, but they're not limiting themselves. They've already got satellite offices in Los Angeles and New York, with plans to expand into Nashville. Talk about ambitious! It definitely looks like Shankman is building something big, aiming to establish a presence across all the major entertainment hubs. It's going to be fascinating to watch how this all unfolds in the coming months.
