Y&R SHOCKER! Shemar Moore & Vivica A. Fox Return With HUGE Twist?!
Movies & TV Series 18 February 2026

Get ready for some serious drama, folks! "The Young and the Restless" is about to get a whole lot more interesting with the return of two fan favorites: Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox. Yes, you read that right. Both are heading back to Genoa City for a multi-episode storyline that CBS is already promising will be "shocking." I don't know about you, but that's definitely piquing my interest.

Y&R SHOCKER! Shemar Moore & Vivica A. Fox Return W...

Moore will be reprising his role as the smooth-talking Malcolm Winters, a character he inhabited from 1994 to 2005. He's popped back in a few times since, most recently last year for the show's big 50th-anniversary bash. Remember that touching tribute to Kristoff St. John's Neil Winters? Moore was right there, front and center. He even has a Daytime Emmy and a stack of NAACP Image Awards from his time on the show, so you know he's bringing the goods.

And then there's Vivica A. Fox! She's stepping back into the shoes of Dr. Stephanie Simmons, a role she played way back in 1994 and 1995. This is actually her first time back since then, which makes it even more exciting. She also debuted in daytime with Kristoff St. John on "Generations", so this reunion will be so good for fans. What kind of medical mysteries (or romantic entanglements!) will Dr. Simmons be involved in this time around? We’ll have to wait and see.

Filming for their episodes kicked off today, with the airdate slated for April. That gives us just enough time to speculate wildly about what kind of chaos they'll be bringing with them. I'm personally hoping for some major family drama, maybe a long-lost secret or two. After all, what's a good soap opera without a little bit of scandalous history?

“The Young and the Restless,” produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company in association with Sony Pictures Television, is in good hands with Josh Griffith at the helm as executive producer and head writer, along with Sally McDonald as co-executive producer. They've clearly got some tricks up their sleeves. And speaking of surprises, "Y&R" is also planning a crossover with "Beyond the Gates" in June. So, buckle up, soap fans! It looks like Genoa City is about to become the place to be.

Don't forget to tune in weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET and 11:30 a.m. PT on CBS, or stream it on Paramount+. I know I will be. The return of Moore and Fox? It's shaping up to be a must-see event.
