Organized by the Calp Town Council, La Nit Encesa, which translates to "The Lit Night," is more than just a pretty spectacle. It's a deliberate effort to boost cultural tourism and, more importantly, encourage both visitors and locals to rediscover the captivating beauty of Calp's historic quarter. Imagine: winding alleyways, those gorgeous stone facades reflecting flickering light, and charming plazas all bathed in the soft, warm glow of thousands of candles. It's enough to make you want to ditch the modern world and step back in time.

This year, the organizers are adding a particularly interesting element: "The Street of Art." This isn't just some static display – it's an open-air creative space where local artists will be actively painting and exhibiting their work live. I love this idea!
