Gaming News 28 February 2026

Alright, survival horror fans, buckle up! It looks like Leon S. Kennedy is heading back to where it all began (again) in the upcoming *Resident Evil Requiem*. And as the recent trailer shows, the Raccoon City Police Department, that delightfully dilapidated den of zombies and puzzles, is playing a starring role. Now, the RPD has always been a maze of locked doors and head-scratching challenges, and *Requiem* seems determined to uphold that tradition. Fortunately, some early peeks at the gameplay have given us a head start on tackling a couple of the trickier conundrums.

Resident Evil Requiem: RPD Puzzle Solved! You Won'...

Specifically, we're talking about two particularly devious side quests that resourceful players will want to tackle early on. The first involves some vintage photography courtesy of Barry Burton, leading to a locker key hidden away in the West Office (apparently, someone named "Jojo" has been waiting patiently for it). The second, equally tantalizing puzzle revolves around a herb-related shopping list pilfered from none other than Albert Wesker's office, and that list ultimately unlocks the coveted STARS briefcase stashed away in their HQ.

So, how exactly do you unravel these mysteries? Well, from what we can gather so far, it's a classic RPD scavenger hunt. It starts, unsurprisingly, with a good old-fashioned search for clues. You'll need to find those photos in the West Office, left by Barry, which contains clues to a locker key marked "Jojo". Then, you'll need to head to Wesker's office and find his list of herbs, which holds the key to unlocking the STARS briefcase in the STARS office. I'm sure most players will enjoy the nostalgia and the thrill of the original RE2.

Based on the trailer, here's a quick breakdown of the steps you can expect to take. The trailer shows the player grabbing the clues, then heading to the Library to find Wesker's Book and the Mechanic Jack. Then it shows the player heading to the Operations Room to grab the Locker Key. Finally, the player opens the Locker and the Briefcase. Now, I'm sure there will be some twists and turns along the way – maybe even a Licker or two trying to photobomb your investigation. But with a little bit of luck, and a whole lot of zombie-slaying skill, you'll be cracking these codes in no time. And who knows what goodies await you inside that locker and briefcase? Maybe a powerful weapon? Extra healing items? Or perhaps just a strongly worded memo from Chief Irons. Whatever it is, it's bound to be worth the effort. Get ready to hunt, gamers!
