Super Mario Galaxy Movie: Final Trailer SOON?! Nintendo Fans HYPE!
Gaming News 06 March 2026

Well folks, mark your calendars! Nintendo just dropped a bomb – or maybe a Warp Pipe – announcing a new Nintendo Direct focused entirely on the upcoming "Super Mario Galaxy Movie." Get ready for the final trailer! The big reveal is happening next Monday, March 9th, at 2 p.m. Pacific, which is 11 a.m. Eastern for those of us on the superior coast (just kidding… mostly). For our friends across the pond, that's 9 p.m. in the UK. Exciting times!

Super Mario Galaxy Movie: Final Trailer SOON?! Nin...

Now, before you start dreaming of Metroid Prime 4 news or the announcement of a long-awaited sequel, Nintendo has made it abundantly clear: this Direct is *strictly* about the movie. No games, no sneak peeks at upcoming hardware, just pure, unadulterated cinematic Mario goodness. It's a bit of a bummer, I know. We all crave that surprise announcement, that one thing that sends the internet into a frenzy. But hey, let's focus on the positive, right?

And the positive is, this movie looks like it's going to be absolutely bonkers… in the best way possible. The trailer promises a much bigger scope than the original, venturing into the galactic reaches implied by the title. We're not just talking about the Mushroom Kingdom anymore! Based on what we've seen so far, we can expect appearances from Bowser Jr., the ever-adorable Yoshi, Birdo (a welcome addition!), a T-Rex (because why not?), and the ethereal Rosalina, voiced by none other than Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson. Larson is a well-known Nintendo fanatic, so you know she’s bringing the authenticity.

Of course, the original film's star-studded cast is returning. Chris Pratt is back as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, and the incredible Jack Black as Bowser. Let's not forget Keegan-Michael Key as Toad and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek. The voice acting really made the first movie sing, and I'm hoping this sequel continues that trend. Can Jack Black possibly top his performance as Bowser? Only time will tell, but I wouldn't bet against him.

So, what can we expect from this final trailer? I’m personally hoping for a better understanding of the plot, some dazzling visuals of those galactic landscapes, and maybe a hint at a post-credits scene. Whatever Nintendo has in store, I'll be tuning in on Monday, popcorn in hand, ready to see Mario and friends embark on their biggest adventure yet. Even without game announcements, a new trailer is enough to get me hyped. Nintendo knows how to keep us on the edge of our seats, that's for sure.
