Yoshi's Voice REVEALED! Galaxy Movie's Final Direct Just SHOCKED Fans!
Gaming News 09 March 2026

Alright, folks, mark your calendars! Mario Day came and went, but the hype train is still chugging along for the *Super Mario Galaxy Movie*, slated to hit theaters on April 1st. Tickets are on sale now, and Nintendo just dropped a bombshell of a Direct focused entirely on the film. Think of it as their final, definitive sales pitch before the big premiere. And let me tell you, it was packed with goodies.

Yoshi's Voice REVEALED! Galaxy Movie's Final Direc...

The Direct kicked off with the voice cast sending out some "Happy Mario Day" vibes – always a nice touch. It's clear Nintendo knows how to build anticipation. But the real meat of the announcement was the new trailer. It opens with a scene straight out of *Super Mario Galaxy*, which is a smart move. Nostalgia is a powerful thing, and seeing Bowser Jr. yeeting Peach’s castle into the cosmos is sure to get fans buzzing. Visually, it looks really promising, capturing the whimsical feel of the games.

However, the casting announcements are what really stole the show. We already knew the core cast, but Nintendo pulled some serious curveballs. Luis Guzmán as Wart, the main baddie from *Super Mario Bros. 2*? Brilliant! Guzmán has that perfect mix of comedic timing and menacing presence to really nail that role. I never thought I’d see the day Wart made it to the big screen, but here we are, and I’m honestly excited.

But hold on to your hats, because the biggest surprise came with the reveal of Yoshi’s voice actor. Drumroll, please... Donald Glover, a.k.a. Childish Gambino! Seriously? I did *not* see that coming. It’s… inspired, to say the least. Glover's got the musical talent and acting chops to bring something truly unique to Yoshi. Whether he'll go for a cute, innocent voice or something a little more… *Donald Glover*, remains to be seen. Honestly, I'm dying to hear a snippet of his performance.

Issa Rae is also joining the cast as the Honey Queen, which is another fantastic addition. Rae is hilarious and brings an inherent warmth to her roles, which is perfect for that character. It seems like Nintendo is really trying to assemble a diverse and talented cast to bring these characters to life.

So, there you have it. A new trailer, some fantastic casting announcements, and a whole lot of hype surrounding the *Super Mario Galaxy Movie*. April 1st can’t come soon enough. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to buy my tickets before they sell out. And maybe brush up on my *Super Mario Bros. 2* lore. You know, just in case.
