Unleash the Beast: Wrangler Moab 392 Roars In With...

Jeep enthusiasts rejoice! Despite earlier concerns about the fate of the V8-powered Wrangler, the American manufacturer has confirmed its commitment to the powerful engine with the launch of the limited-edition 2026 Wrangler Moab 392. This announcement arrives as a welcome surprise, particularly given the rising popularity of electric vehicles and increasing pressure on automakers to reduce emissions. The Moab 392 not only keeps the iconic Hemi V8 alive but also comes with a significantly lower price tag than its predecessor.

A Powerful Legacy Continues

The 2026 Moab 392 boasts the same formidable 6.4-liter V-8 engine, delivering a robust 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, paired with a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission. Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf emphasized the importance of listening to the community, stating that the V-8 will remain a defining force within the Jeep lineup. This commitment is evident in the Moab 392's impressive off-road capabilities.

Built for Adventure

The SUV is equipped with 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, a 4.56 axle ratio, and a 2.72:1 Selec-Track full-time transfer case, ensuring optimal performance on challenging terrains. A dual-mode exhaust system and a cold air intake with a water separator further enhance its off-road prowess. The exterior features a body-color hardtop, rock rails, color-matched fender flares, and black tow hooks, adding to its rugged appeal.

Premium Features and Striking Colors

The interior of the Moab 392 offers a blend of comfort and technology. Heated black Nappa leather-trimmed seats, a premium Alpine audio system, and a large 12.3-inch infotainment screen create a luxurious and connected driving experience. Optional features include a Sky One-Touch power top, an 8,000-pound WARN winch, and all-weather floor mats, allowing buyers to customize their vehicle to suit their specific needs.

Jeep is also introducing new limited-edition exterior colors, including the eye-catching dark purple Reign, alongside options like Goldilocks, Joose, Earl Grey, and Tuscadero. A notable addition across the entire Wrangler lineup is the enhanced door hinge system, designed to streamline the door removal process.

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the 2026 Moab 392 is its price. Starting at $81,990 (including a $1,995 destination fee), it's a remarkable $20,000 less expensive than the 2025 Wrangler 392. Order books are currently open, with production expected to commence in the coming weeks. The Moab 392 marks the first of twelve limited-edition Wranglers planned by Jeep as part of their 85th-anniversary celebrations, with the next model scheduled to debut on December 12.
