Phantom Media Group, VFX Powerhouse Behind "The Mandalorian," Assembles Leadership Team

Phantom Media Group (PMG), the newly formed visual effects house making waves with its work on productions like "The Mandalorian" and "Grogu," has announced its leadership team, signaling a strategic push for global dominance in the VFX and visual entertainment industry. The announcement, made earlier this month, highlights the company's commitment to assembling top-tier talent to oversee its expanding operations.

At the helm is Ian Unterreiner, appointed as President, reporting directly to PMG CEO and Founder Bejoy Arputharaj. Reporting to Unterreiner are key figures who will drive the company's strategic direction and operational excellence. Chris Burn, formerly Managing Director of Milk Group, which PMG acquired earlier this year, steps into the role of Global Managing Director. Based in London, Burn will oversee studio operations across North America, the UK, and Europe, with a particular focus on PMG's portfolio of studios including Tippett Studio, Milk, and Lola Post. Burn brings over two decades of experience, including senior leadership positions at MPC and DNEG.

Roo Knight-Jones, previously Director of Business

Roo Knight-Jones, previously Director of Business Development at Milk Group, assumes the same role at PMG, concentrating on business development initiatives for Milk, Lola Post, and Tippett Studio. Knight-Jones’s experience includes prior roles at Untold and MPC.

Caroline Bisson-Salama joins PMG as Global Director of Marketing & Communications, bringing her expertise from DNEG, where she served as Head of Marketing & Communications. Bisson-Salama will be based in London.

Completing the leadership team is Andrew Harvey, appointed as Global Executive Producer. Harvey, based in Los Angeles, boasts a rich background at Annapurna Pictures, MPC, and Dupe VFX. He will focus on developing the group's creative and strategic capabilities, driving international growth, and fostering collaboration between the company's various studios.
