## Battlefield 6 Offers Free Thanksgiving Trial, Shores Up Content Ahead of Winter Offensive
Battlefield fans, prepare for a holiday feast of action! Battlefield Studios has announced a free trial for Battlefield 6, offering gamers a chance to experience the latest installment in the iconic franchise without spending a dime. The trial period, strategically timed to coincide with the Thanksgiving break in the US, will run from November 25th to December 2nd, giving players a full week to dive into the virtual battlefields.
The free trial will grant access to a curated selection of the full game, including five different game modes and three distinct maps. While the specific modes and maps remain under wraps, players can expect a taste of the diverse and intense combat that Battlefield 6 has become known for. Importantly, the trial will be available across all platforms, ensuring that PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC gamers can all join the fray.
This announcement arrives alongside the release of the "California Resistance" update, a significant content drop that further enhances the Battlefield 6 experience. This update introduces the "Eastwood" map, promising fresh tactical opportunities and visually stunning environments. Alongside the new map, players can jump into "Sabotage," a limited-time event mode described as "fast-paced," offering a unique and adrenaline-pumping twist on the classic Battlefield formula.
Beyond the core multiplayer experience, the California Resistance update also brings additions to the Redsec battle royale mode. Players can now tackle a new "Gauntlet" mission, testing their skills and strategic thinking in a challenging environment. Furthermore, "Prepper Stashes" have been scattered throughout the Fort Lyndon map, offering resourceful players the chance to discover valuable items and gain a competitive edge.
Looking ahead, Battlefield Studios is already gearing up for the next phase of Season 1. On December 9th, the "Winter Offensive" update will arrive, promising "special seasonal themed content" to inject some festive cheer into the battlefield. The developers have also been actively tweaking the game based on player feedback, with the California Resistance update including a major change to aim-assist mechanics.
Battlefield 6 launched in October and has already achieved impressive sales figures, reportedly surpassing 10 million copies sold.
