Unleash The Cutest Godzilla With This Week's Epic Games Store Freebies
Epic Games Store: Free Godzilla?! You Won't Believ...
Another week, another chance to bolster your PC gaming library without spending a dime! The Epic Games Store is continuing its long-running tradition of giving away free games every week, and this time around, we've got a delightfully quirky pair to sink our teeth into. For those unfamiliar with the drill, every Thursday at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, Epic drops at least one (sometimes more!) free game for you to snag. All it takes is a free Epic account and enabling that all-important two-factor authentication. It's a small price to pay for some potentially great entertainment.
You have a whole week to claim these digital goodies before they're replaced with next week's offerings, so no need to rush… unless you're like me and get a weird sense of completion from claiming them immediately! Seriously though, Epic has been doing this for what feels like forever, handing out hundreds of free games over the years, from indie gems to the occasional AAA blockbuster. And thankfully, there's absolutely no sign of them stopping anytime soon. They've even expanded the freebie love to Android devices, so you can grab a free game for your phone each week, too.
This week's headliner is *Godzilla Voxel Wars*. Now, I'm a sucker for anything Godzilla, but the "voxel" part really piqued my interest. Imagine the King of the Monsters rendered in adorable, blocky glory, stomping through equally charming, low-resolution cities. It’s a hilarious and surprisingly strategic take on the classic kaiju formula. This is sure to be a great way to kill some time!
Alongside Godzilla's blocky rampage, we also have *Zoeti*, a rogue-lite deckbuilder that looks intriguing. I haven't had a chance to dive into it yet, but the art style and card-based combat system seem promising. If you're a fan of games like *Slay the Spire*, this could be right up your alley. Two for one, not bad Epic!
But wait, there's more! Looking ahead to next week, Epic is giving away *Universe For Sale*. From the trailer, it looks like a very unique and artistic adventure game. Set on a space station above Jupiter, the game features strange characters, marketplaces, and a young woman who can create universes in her hand. It's hand drawn which is exciting and I can't wait to try it.
In the meantime, if you are looking for more free games to play, Epic has a list of 25 you can play. From AAA hits to indie darlings, Epic has really made its mark with free games. You can even snag these games if you don't have a powerful PC so you can play them if you ever get one.
