Balatro on Xbox Game Pass?! You Won't Believe This Surprise!
Gaming News 21 November 2025

Well, folks, it seems the Xbox Game Pass continues to deliver surprises. Out of seemingly nowhere, Panik Arcade's CloverPit has landed on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and, crucially, Xbox Game Pass. I know a lot of folks have been waiting for this one!

Balatro on Xbox Game Pass?! You Won't Believe This...

If you're unfamiliar, CloverPit is a delightfully twisted roguelike that throws you into a dark and gritty world. Think slot machines meet high stakes gambling, all wrapped up in a package that feels heavily inspired by the hit game Balatro and the nail-biting tension of Buckshot Roulette. It even features Jimbo from Balatro in the launch trailer!

The premise is simple, yet terrifying: you're stuck in a dingy cell, drowning in gambling debt. Fail to pay up, and let's just say the consequences aren't pretty. The tension, the risk, and the pure, unadulterated dread of a bad spin – it all adds up to a compelling and, frankly, addictive experience. I've lost hours to games like this before (don't tell my editor!).

Now, CloverPit isn't exactly a new kid on the block. It actually debuted on Steam back on September 26th. Fun fact: the developers originally planned to launch on September 3rd, but made the wise decision to sidestep the potential shadow of Hollow Knight: Silksong (a move that, let's be honest, was probably a good call given the hype surrounding *that* particular game). It seems like the delay worked out in their favor.

Publisher Future Friends Games and Panik Arcade are reporting that CloverPit has already sold over a million copies on Steam. That's no small feat, folks! It's a testament to the game's unique appeal and the growing appetite for these innovative roguelike experiences. It's good to see indie studios getting the love they deserve.

But the good news doesn't stop there. The Xbox launch trailer also teased some new DLC, dubbed "Unholy Fusion," which is slated to drop on both PC and Xbox. As of right now, we're in the dark about whether it will be a free update or a paid expansion. But knowing Panik Arcade, I'm expecting something interesting, and probably a little bit disturbing. One can always hope!

So, if you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, especially on the Ultimate or Premium tiers, you've got no excuse. Give CloverPit a spin. Just, uh, try not to lose all your imaginary money. You've been warned!
