Fallout 4 SHOCK! Update REVERSES Controversial Changes?! Players Stunned!
Gaming News 22 November 2025

Okay, folks, let's talk Fallout 4. You know, that game we all loved (or maybe *still* love) despite its, shall we say, "Bethesda-ness"? Well, the Anniversary Edition dropped recently, meant to celebrate a decade of post-apocalyptic adventures, and… well, it seems the celebration hit a few snags.

Fallout 4 SHOCK! Update REVERSES Controversial Cha...

Namely, it was buggy. Like, really buggy. Enough to get the community riled up, which, let's be honest, isn't exactly a herculean feat with gamers these days. But the good news is, Bethesda's listening (sort of, eventually). They've announced a couple of updates aimed at smoothing things out. Think of it as patching up the Vault-Tec experiment gone wrong, if you will.

The first update is slated for November – though a specific date remains shrouded in the radioactive mist. Bethesda’s message on social media was classic corporate-speak: "We appreciate the continued communication…" You know the drill. But buried in there, the promise to tackle DLC installation issues, those pesky crashes, and just generally make the game less of a headache. Baby steps, I guess. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither are stable video game updates, apparently.

And for the console players out there, the good news is that Bethesda is still working to expand mod storage. However, there's no immediate date on when we can expect the increased storage. It sounds like it's still in the very early stages of development.

Looking ahead to December, Bethesda plans to drop another patch, and they're promising details on that soon. They're also dangling a little carrot in the form of "several free Fallout 4 Creations," which basically means some new content for us to play around with. The first of these is "The Varmint Rifle," which sounds cool enough. Sounds like you have to earn it, too, not just grab it off a shelf. Manhole diving, puzzle-solving, enemy-slaying – the whole shebang. It drops next week, so at least there's *something* concrete on the horizon.

Look, I’m not going to lie. Bethesda has a track record, and it's not always stellar when it comes to launches. But hey, at least they're trying (or at least pretending to try) to fix things. Hopefully, these updates will actually make a difference and turn the Anniversary Edition into something we can all enjoy. We'll keep an eye on this and let you know when those updates actually materialize. For now, keep those Power Armor suits charged and those RadAway doses handy – just in case these updates unleash a whole new breed of bugs.
