Nier Automata Invades Final Fantasy! What Will Happen To Tifa?!
Gaming News 25 November 2025

It seems like 2B, the stoic android from Nier Automata, is becoming gaming's ultimate guest star. She's popping up everywhere! And I have to admit, I'm not complaining. This time, Square Enix is bringing the stylish warrior to Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis in a crossover event launching November 27th. Prepare for androids, blindfolds, and plenty of opportunities to empty your virtual wallet (more on that later).

Nier Automata Invades Final Fantasy! What Will Hap...

The event itself seems pretty straightforward. Players will face 2B as a formidable boss, and by completing special "panel missions," they can unlock the "Whirling Ravager" enemy ability. It's always fun snagging cool new moves, so that's a nice incentive to dive in. But let's be honest, the real draw here is the cosmetics.

Yep, you guessed it: new skins! Yuffie and Tifa are getting the full Nier Automata treatment, transforming into android versions of themselves, complete with the iconic black attire and, of course, the signature blindfolds. Each character also gets a new Nier Automata weapon skin to complete the look. I'm picturing Tifa with 2B's Virtuous Contract, and I'm already sold. Seeing these characters in the Nier style is a testament to just how strong that original design was.

Now, here's the rub. Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis, being a gacha game, means you'll likely be relying on a bit of luck (and potentially spending some cash) to get those Tifa and Yuffie skins. But hey, at least Square Enix is throwing us a bone. They're offering ten free draws daily during the event, along with a login bonus of 3,000 blue crystals. Plus, there's a free crossover weapon draw each day. So, while the odds might be slim, there's a chance you can snag some goodies without breaking the bank.

The sheer number of Nier Automata crossovers is frankly astounding. From the epic raid in Final Fantasy 14 to appearances in Stellar Blade, Soul Calibur 6, and even Babylon's Fall (RIP), 2B's influence is undeniable. She's become a modern icon, and her design just lends itself so well to these kinds of collaborations. It's a testament to Yoko Taro's brilliance, really.

But it does make you wonder... with all these crossovers, when are we going to get a proper new Nier game? A sequel? A prequel? Something! I'm itching to dive back into that world with a fresh story and new characters. What's *your* favorite Nier Automata crossover? And, more importantly, when do *you* think we'll finally get some news about the next mainline installment? The wait is killing me!
