Assassin's Creed SHOCK! Attack on Titan Crossover...But There's a Catch?!
Gaming News 25 November 2025

Well, this is a crossover I certainly didn't see coming. Ubisoft just dropped a bomb – a limited-time quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows that throws our stealthy assassins right into the world of Attack on Titan. Yes, you read that right. Titans and Templars, together at last (or for the next month, at least).

Assassin's Creed SHOCK! Attack on Titan Crossover....

The crossover event, which went live today, November 25th, is set to vanish like a ninja on December 22nd, so you’ve got a limited window to experience it. Ubisoft's cryptic description sets the stage: "Deep within the enigmatic Crystal Cave, a terrifying experiment may unleash a monstrous enemy. Will Naoe and Yasuke survive what lurks in the depths?" Sounds appropriately ominous, right? I immediately went looking for the trailer and, honestly, it looks pretty wild.

To jump into the action, you'll need to have unlocked Yasuke as a playable character. Once you’ve done that, head over to the Yamashiro region, specifically north of Hanazo Tower, and find Ada. She’ll get you started on the quest. Apparently, completing it isn't just for bragging rights. We're talking about rewards! Think hideout customizations like banners and a statue to show off your Titan-slaying prowess. Plus, Naoe gets a shiny new crystal katana. Who doesn't love a good sword?

But wait, there's more! Because what would a crossover be without a little something extra to buy? Attack on Titan-themed item packs are hitting the in-game store. Expect outfits, weapons, trinkets, and even a new mount – all dripping with that iconic Attack on Titan aesthetic. I'm personally curious to see how they translate the series' gear into the Assassin's Creed world.

Interestingly, the quest also seems to grant some new abilities to our protagonists. Naoe is getting a version of Yasuke's war kick, which should be a nice addition to her stealthy repertoire. Yasuke, on the other hand, learns how to dispatch enemies stealthily and non-lethally. Makes sense, right? Sometimes you just need to knock someone out instead of, you know, permanently eliminating them.

It's also worth noting, similar to another recent quest ("A Puzzlement"), you'll need to have progressed a bit in the main story, specifically unlocking Yasuke and taking down two of the Shinbakufu, to access the Attack on Titan content. So, if you're just starting the game, you might have a bit of grinding to do.

Beyond the Titan-sized news, Ubisoft has also rolled out a series of fixes for Assassin's Creed Shadows, details of which you can find on their website. And for those keeping track of the larger Assassin's Creed universe, the Netflix live-action adaptation is still apparently alive and kicking, five years after its announcement. Plus, they're working with FX and Rob McElhenney on a Far Cry TV series. Ubisoft's certainly been busy!
