Alright folks, the Big Easy is about to get a whole lot more… cinematic. A new crime thriller, aptly titled "Motion," is currently filming in New Orleans, and the cast list just got a serious shot of star power. We’re talking Terry Crews levels of star power.

Beyond the already announced Tiffany Haddish and Bella Thorne, "Motion" has snagged some seriously eclectic talent. Eddie Griffin, the comedic genius behind "Undercover Brother," is on board, which I'm personally excited about. Expect some laughs mixed in with the grit. Then there's Cymphonique Miller, known for her Nickelodeon days on "How to Rock," stepping into what sounds like a more mature role. And, in perhaps the most unexpected casting news, YouTube sensation Ed Bassmaster, the master of pranks and characters, is joining the party. Color me intrigued!

But wait, there’s more! Entertainment mogul Percy Miller, better known as Master P, is not only starring but also co-writing and executive producing this project. It's clearly a passion project for him, and you gotta respect that kind of dedication. His son, Romeo Miller, is also in the mix. Throw in some fresh faces like John D. Hickman, Ja’quan Monroe Henderson, and a couple of NFL players – Ray Ray McCloud and Trai Turner – and you’ve got yourself one jam-packed ensemble.

Tiffany Haddish is producing via her She Ready Productions, alongside Shaun Sanghani's SSS Entertainment, and Tim McCann ("White Rabbit") is directing. With a script co-written by Master P and Tim Ogletree, the movie is described as diving into the New Orleans underground racing scene. Think fast cars, shady deals, and vibrant characters all vying for a piece of the action. Sounds like a recipe for some serious on-screen drama.

Plot details are still being kept under wraps tighter than a drum, but the promise of a character-driven narrative within the world of illicit activities is definitely appealing. Filming is expected to wrap up in December, so we're likely looking at a 2024 release. I’m keeping my eyes peeled for more news on this one. With a cast as diverse and talented as this, "Motion" has the potential to be a real sleeper hit. Let’s see if it lives up to the hype!
